Product Introduction
Galvanized steel coil: A metal material that forms a zinc-iron alloy protective layer by coating a layer of zinc metal on the surface of a low-carbon steel substrate to prevent steel corrosion. Its core value is that the sacrificial anode characteristics of zinc preferentially oxidize, protect the steel substrate, and significantly extend the service life. It is suitable for scenes exposed to humid or corrosive environments.
Common specifications
Substrate thickness: 0.12mm to 6.0mm (common 0.3mm to 3.0mm).
Coating weight:
- Hot-dip galvanizing: 60~600g/m² (such as Z180 means 180g/m²).
- Electrogalvanizing: 10~50g/m².
Coil size:
- Width: 600mm~2000mm.
- Coil weight: 3~25 tons, inner diameter 508mm/610mm.
Features and Advantages
Hot-dip galvanizing: The service life can reach 20~50 years in an exposed environment (depending on the thickness of the zinc layer and the environment).
Electrogalvanizing: It needs to be used with a coating (such as a color-coated plate substrate).
Processability: It can be sheared, stamped, and welded.
Environmental protection: Zinc can be recycled, but the hot-dip process consumes a lot of energy.
