Product Information
Drill pipe is a threaded steel tube used to connect drilling rig surface equipment to drilling equipment or bottom hole assembly located at the bottom of the well. Its purpose is to transport drilling mud to the drill bit and, together with the drill bit, raise, lower, or rotate the bottom hole assembly. Drill pipe must be able to withstand enormous internal and external pressures, torsion, bending, and vibration. In the oil and gas extraction and refining process, drill pipe can be reused multiple times.

Structural Design:Tube Body: Seamless steel pipe, upset and thickened at both ends (internal thickening, external thickening, or internal and external thickening) to enhance connection strength.
Thread Type: Commonly internal flat type, through-hole type, and regular type, affecting drilling fluid flow resistance and outer diameter. Performance Requirements
Strength and Toughness: High tensile and compressive strength and fatigue resistance are required, especially in deep wells where complex stresses due to aspect ratios are necessary.
Abrasion and Corrosion Resistance: Non-magnetic wear-resistant coatings are commonly used to enhance resistance to H2S/CO2 corrosion.
Connection Process: Cold assembly techniques (such as aluminum alloy drill pipes) reduce stress concentration and improve connection reliability.
